Adding recorded voice samples

Anyone been successful at adding recorded speech or audio for use with SimMan?

We have run into a small problem in that although the recording is there and available in the correct folder, the voice is automaticlly generated from SimMans head, and the output is incoherant. Might try recording directly onto SimMam laptop, see if that works better, or maybe it's the recording levels being too high.

on a similar theme, i read somewhere that some centres who use the in built speaker in SimMans skull to speak through, have cut/drilled holes in the skin over the speaker to get a clearer louder sound, might be worth trying if you use that feature, maybe cover holes with a wig?

I've added some vocal responses to SimMan.  I just recorded them using the voice recorder app on my phone, so nothing fancy.  Edited them to the right length in audacity - nothing else.  Came out clear as a bell.

Maybe your recording levels are too high.

I'll try and attach my original file and you can try it.  Then you'd know if it was your recording, or maybe the speakers or something else.
