I'm throwing this out in the hope that someone else has suggestions. The voice conference facility has stopped working in the middle of a simulation twice now (not consecutive simulations). No warning; working well beforehand, and works again once I shut down and restart. The voice conference button lights up when activated but I can still hear the participants clearly, whereas when it's working properly they sound very dull when the button is pressed. Has anyone else had this problem and was there a solution?
Any help welcome.

not a part of the system we use as we have seperate microphones and patient voice speaker that are all independant of the built in system. can have a look at this for you, is the problem that they are dull when the system works fine and clear when the system isn't working well, as that sounds the wrong way round to me?

It doesn't happen every time I use the laptop. The speech from participants in the room with SimMan is clear and sharp normally; when I want to say something, I press the 'speech' button, this makes the people in the room sound 'dull'; I say what I need to say and release the button, once it is released the people in the room sound sharp again. It has always been like this and works well normally. I know there is a problem when I want to speak and press the button, but the participants with SimMan still sound sharp. It's almost as though the speech channel isn't activating properly.
