so i guess a way of keeping costs down whilst maintaining a bit of realism is to re-use stuff. we've been reusing IV bags since i started, but they are usually stored with a giving set attached, which is ok unless it's a blood giving set and the mesh gets all mouldy. the other thing is it then comes ready to run to the participants which is fine for some courses but not so good for others. Simple way to re-use and have stored without the giving set attached is have fluid bags refilled with water or even coloured water depending on the product and stopper them with a golf tee. Just make sure you don't let the participants remove the tee with the bag hanging, it gets a bit wet!
