been a bit of a longstanding issue i think, does anyone else have issues with the baby sounds not emitting from the baby? ours come from the monitor which is less than ideal, just wonder if anyone else has this issue or how they overcame it?

Silly question, but do you have the audio cable in the right way...you know the one that splits from one to two? We had our in the ALS manikin the wring way and monitor sounds came out of the head, and patient sounds from the monitor! Worth double checking. Never had the problem with Simbaby.

thanks for your suggestion but definitely not the cables being the wrong way round, it seems like the stereo signal is not being split, i.e. one channel to monitor and one to baby. might be cable, so will try a set of headphones to see if the signal splits into each can

sorted a work-around
instead of sending one channel to the link box and one to the monitor, i borrow sim junior audio splitter (which has 2 x 3.5mm audio jacks) i send one to the monitor and i send one to an external speaker below the bed, problem sorted, patient cries, grunting etc much better direction coming from beneath the bed than from the monitor and also doesn't get drowned out by monitor sounds so more easily identifiable.

By splitting before it goes "through the wall" we have control of each signal and therefor sound, we just needed to use a seperate port on the wall for each signal
