Hi All! So yesterday we moved SimMan for in-situ training. He was stored correctly, was working at first on site. Mid training i think someone possibly was a bit heavy handed or something but his lungs stopped working. He still blinks but his chest doesn't rise also if setting to cant intubate cant ventilate, again it doesn't work. Also his head is fairly floppy, i'm bricking it that his necks been broken in training!! If you could give me any advise i'd really appreciate it!

Couldn't tell you what the problem might be, maybe a loose connection inside him, but I think SimMan's head is generally quite floppy!

depends how wobbly the head is i suppose but if everything is working then it should be ok
as for chest movement....
does the tongue still swell? if not there could be an general pneumatic issue, one that originates between the compressor and the patient, maybe the manifold on the main board
if tongue is good, can you intubate him and ventilate him with a bag valve mask, does his chest rise and fall? if not problem is between the bellows and the small bladders that operate the chest rise, if they do, sounds like an issue between the compressor and the
if you open his chest skin and observe the small bladders that operate the chest rise, when he is breathing spontaneously or being ventilated, do these fill? if not trace back from the small white bladders, they might have become disconnected (ours have once) or trace back to the manifold and check connections
call me if you need more info or a walk through
