just created a central pulsatile mass for £0.00, going to trial it this evening, and have it validity tested by the Ed. Co's when they come in.
going to submit abstract to ASPiH for it (why not?)

at the moment it's worked manually, so the confederate has to be around the bed, but in the scenario run last night, the learner found it, recognised it and responded. also got the Ed Co's to try it, all 5 were really positive about it.
i'll put a doc together with photos next week and drop it here.
All the kit i used was supplied along with SimMan/SimBaby so cost hee-haw
next step is to run it off a motor so that it's automated.

added a turning handle activated piston and cylinder to replace the sphyg bulb, so the piston driven solution does work and now allows for more remote activation e.g.we can run it in the back of an ambulance and activate the AAA from the cab, really need to add a motor to it, next step though
